SPATCO DEF will manufacture and distribute patent-pending diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) dispensing systems to more than 800 Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada. The equipment allows DTNA customers to dispense DEF—a nontoxic mixture of 67.5% water and 32.5% urea—into their diesel vehicles, enabling them to meet the EPA’s deadline for reduced NOx emissions starting Jan. 1. The equipment selected by Daimler includes a light-duty insertion drum pump, a medium-duty system with universal mounting plate for either a drum or tote, and a heavy-duty stand-alone system for use with a drum or tote. Each system will be offered with various equipment options based on the needs of the individual Daimler customer.
